Information concerning the disposal of electrical and electronic devices (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act [ElektroG])
Manufacturers and dealers are legally obliged to take old devices back free of charge and to dispose of them or utilize them in accordance with prescribed standards in an environmentally friendly manner. This applies to relevant products with the following marking.

Consumers must not dispose of old devices with this marking by means of the domestic waste system, but can bring them to collection points intended for this purpose within their municipality or to the public waste disposal authorities or to the retail business where the product was purchased. Consumers are themselves responsible for the deletion of personal information on the old devices to be disposed of.
Spent batteries and old rechargeable batteries, which are not enclosed in the old device, must be separated from the latter prior to delivery at a collection point. Please pay attention to our instructions for the disposal of batteries. We comply with our obligation to take equipment back under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). A partner undertakes the disposal and utilization of the old devices for us by means of the community collection points. You can send the particular device to us for disposal. Information concerning the disposal of batteries (Battery Act [BattG])
The Battery Act regulates the placement on the market, the taking back and the environmentally friendly disposal of non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries. The following information concerns the handling of goods by end users if these goods consist of or contain batteries. We are obliged to refer you to the following information with respect to the sale of batteries and goods, which contain batteries:
Batteries must not be disposed of in the domestic waste system. As an end user, you are legally obliged to return spent batteries, so that professional disposal of the latter can be guaranteed. You can submit spent batteries and old rechargeable batteries to a community collection point or to a retail establishment. As a distributor of batteries, Rollei is obliged to accept the return of spent batteries free of charge, whereby our obligation is limited to taking back spent batteries of the type that we provide and distribute when they are new or that we have provided and distributed in the past. You can send spent batteries of the aforementioned kind by mailing them postage paid to us or by handing them in directly to Rollei’s headquarters in Norderstedt (Rollei GmbH & Co. KG; In de Tarpen 42; 22848 Norderstedt) free of charge. The symbols depicted on the batteries have the following meaning:
: Non- chargeable /chargeable batteries are marked by the symbol of a crossed-out rubbish bin. Batteries must not be disposed of in the domestic waste system.
Batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent mercury, more than 0.002 percent cadmium or more than 0.004 percent lead by weight are labelled with appropriate specifications under the rubbish bin as follows with the abbreviation of the chemical name in each case (Cd for cadmium, Pb for lead and Hg for mercury):
